TO BREATHE AS ONE 2009

The Laulupidu is a singing festival, in Estonia, which is on UNESCO world Heritage list. It brings thousands of people together around songs of the singing revolution but also songs of peace and love for their country. In 2009, 905 choirs and 26 430 singers and musicians performed in Song Celebrations which was called "To Breathe as One". ameliejonathan

Facts:
35230 participators in general (singers and dancers) this year including:
26430 singers and instrumentalists 804 choirs
60 brass bands
534 dancer and gymnastic groups
7460 dancers and gymnasts
The oldest participator of the Song Festival is 91 yrs old
The oldest participator of the Dance Festival is 75 yrs old
Amongst the participators were 41 collectives from foreign countries, from the USA, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Finland, UK, Dane, Ukraine, Hungary and Russia.

Second Day: around 100000
