TRIP TO MUHUMAA 16 - 18 JULY

This is the small island where Marit has a small summer house

Leaving the port Virtsu

Our car was the last on to get on this ferry. The crossing of the bay took only 30 minutes.

Kuivastu port, Muhumaa

Marit

The kids went right into the pond

Marit's hut hiding in the bush

The road to the beach - there's junipers everywhere on Estonia's islands

We found unbelievable amount of wild strawberries everywhere

Yumm....

The porch

The pond seen from the porch

Ivonna-Ly (11) with the berries she picked

Kärttu (10), Marit's daughter, the spoiled nest-egg ;)

Didn't like to pick but sure likes to eat ;))

The hut. It has one big room where we all slept

The nearest neighbor's house, Marit's partner Merle's property

First time we went to the sea I forgot to take any pics because I was too busy with swimming in amazingly lukewarm water. This time we went to see the wild swans later at night. (Marit)

Marit and Caesar waiting me up while I'm taking pics of every flower, straw and such LOL

Isn't it delightful?

Caesar is a rescue-dog by heart. It was really difficult to swim while he was trying to "save" us from drowning (I still have a big blue line on my thigh from his claw :P

We didn't get anywhere near to the swans, so I zoomed in and just took a pic without seeing what I got. Later on I was happy to realize that I did get some swans on the picture.

Our kitchen/livingroom

Later that night Marit's other friends joined us. Here's Margit (36) with her daughter Katriin (12) and I took that pic mainly because I was surprised that they really looked like sisters (almost twins!) Margit is 5'9'' and Katriin is almost same.

Marit, our host, maid and cook. I just adore people who won't ail over their figure and feel completely free in every situation :) I have so much to learn from her!

Cooking us breakfast the next morning, Friday

Assol dressing up to a 85 F weather (~ 30 C) She claimed that she was ill...

Later this morning Marit and I went to the port to pick up my daughter Dagni who was brought there by her man Egon who was going to Saaremaa for a big beer-festival called Õlletoober
(kibble) He's originally from Saaremaa so that's where all his buddies are to meet once a year.

Dagni and Assol sunbathing

I sat there almost all day in the sun... No wonder I got totally sunburnt. I can't understand why I didn't think of a sun screen or something, I haven't been sunbathing for over 6 years! Later that night I was in bed with shivers and later got blisters which start to break by now. What fun!

Ivonna-Ly (Assol's daughter), Kärttu and Katriin playing cards

I asked Dagni to pose for me, I want to have nice pics of my pregnant daughter. I have none of myself which is kinda sad... She's 8 months pregnant by now, I think she's still beautiful :)

She thinks her legs are too fat so I had to promise that I wouldn't put thouse pics on any site where her firends could see them. Well, luckily none of them knows this blog :P

Lunch time

I think it's kind of meaningful and wonderful that our gang was composed of 4 mothers and 4 daughters :)

AND HERE ARE SOME IRRELEVANT PICS which I took here and there, I just love to take pics of flowers and nature in general. It's the most beautiful model there is...

My ikebana

Juniper's berries

Thyme
